Orders placed on the Site result in payments to The Conservation Fund as set forth in the Terms of Use Agreement found elsewhere on the Site. Consequently, certain information about customer transactions, such as the customer name and the amount of the customer transaction, is forwarded to The Conservation Fund for record-keeping purposes, and to enable The Conservation Fund to send an acknowledgement to the customer. Orders also result in the retirement of serialized greenhouse gas "GHG") emissions reductions (a.k.a., “Offsets” or “Credits”) on certain registries, including the American Carbon Registry™ of the Environmental Resources Trust, Inc. ("ERT") and Winrock International, as set forth in the Terms of Use Agreement. Certain transaction information, including the name of the person or organization in whose name Offsets are being retired as a result of the transaction, is provided to the American Carbon Registry to document the registration, ownership status and disposition of Offsets created by the Company. Except as stated herein, the information that we collect is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. We reserve the right to provide the information that we collect if (a) required to do so by law; or (b) we believe that such action is necessary in order to conform to the requirements of the law or comply with legal processes served upon us; or (c) required to protect our legal rights or property, the Site, or our users; or (d) required to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of the terms and conditions for using the Site.
